Fun in the Sun with a side of wind

We took advantage of the sun today and went to the Little Valley Park. It started out just a little chilly with the breeze that was blowing but turned out pretty nice by the time we left. I am so ready for the sun to come and stay with us for awhile. I guess we need to be thankful that the weather has been off and on because had it turned off hot all that SNOW on Pine Valley mountain wood have come down all at once and it would have no place to go except to reek havic as it did a few years back. I keep reminding myself of this when is not sunny and warm outside. But I am still ready for the warm sunny days of Southern Utah.

Pirate Pizza Fun

We had some fun together at Pirate Pizza today for dinner we all had dixie direct coupons that we could use and Logan received a free small pizza coupon from school. Brittany lined up the fun night. We all ordered our dinners, salads and come to find out we could only use 3 coupons from the dixie direct card per table so Brittany and Josh ordered last and didn't get to use their card. Sorry Brit, that is a lame rule if you ask me. If you notice Luke in both pictures of him he was pulling faces in both he wasn't crying or I didn't catch him with is eyes closed that is his faces that he makes. His little personality is coming out and it is so cute. You see Daniel and Josh in the lower corner picture. Josh hit the Jackpot and received 300 tickets. So Raylie and Logan had about a 1000 tickets at the end thanks to Daniel and Chantelle handing over some tickets they had. Of course I was taking the pictures and forgot to get one of Dad and I but oh well I don't like my picture taken anyway. Sharise was working so that is why she isn't in any pictures. We had a great time.

Something to keep the hands busy!!!!

Brittany got me in the mood to crochet, so when she was buying some yarn I decided I would buy some and I found a book that had this set in it. I haven't crocheted for a long time so it took some doing to get this accomplished. I made up my own pattern for the little hat because I just could not get the pattern one to work out. But it is all done now and not sure what I am going to do with it. We have no little ones coming that I am aware of. So I will tuck it away for a later date and try my had at another one.

Happy Birthday Desirae

Happy Birthday to my oldest, I can't believe you are 32 years old, it can't be I remember this day (in the picture) and it seems like yesterday.
Back before the days of ultra sounds and not knowing what we were going to have before you were born. Some how I knew that you were a girl maybe because of the dream that I had that I was having a girl. In my dream I delivered this beautiful little girl. When that day really came that you were born I looked at you (when they had cleaned you all up) and you were that little girl in the dream that I had it was so amazing to me. You were the first grand-daughter on my side of the family and the first of the first on the Fowlks side (Ron coming from a family of all boys) so yes you were just a little spoiled or no wait, you were just loved a whole bunches. I know that you always called yourself the trial child as you grew up, and thank you for training us as parents. When you were little you didn't seem to like men very much you would cry every time one of the grandpa's would want to hold you. When we moved to Kearns you were really afraid of our neighbor (McBrides). Not so much of the neighbor across the street though who could be afraid of Uncle Kirk. But you grew to love all of the neighbors as time went on and even the grandpa's. You were very obedient as you began to crawl (6 mo) walk ( 9 mo) and get into things I would just have to say NO and you would stop. I remember the two sets of stitches that you had, one on your hand when you fell at grandma Fowlks' and the other when you hit the tray of the chalk board right on the side of your head not fun having to papoose you down at the hospital. You always loved music you would carry your little tape recorder around that you got for Christmas when you were about 3 or 4 and would know the words to every song in a very short amount of time. You would set your dolls and stuffed animal on the couch and preform for them. Until Brittany was big enough then you would make her sit there and watch you. :) Well there is a little walk down memory lane and I hope that you have a very Happy Birthday! We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
