Happy 20th Daniel

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL
The top two pics are of his first birthday. He has grown into quite the young man. I even had the opportunity to wish him a happy birthday today. Stephanie Daniels (one of the ward members) the same people that had him over for Christmas.
I had her phone # and I called her the other day to ask a favor to see if there was a DQ by their house and she told me of "Brusters Ice cream" which is like Leatherbys here. I called and ordered an ice cream cake and 1/2 gallon of bubblegum ice cream (his favorite) she picked it up today for him and had he and his comp. over and as they were getting ready to light the candle she called me (he didn't know) she put it on speaker phone and I wished him a Happy Birthday, he didn't know that it was me until I told him that he had a package waiting at his apt. and I heard him say " THAT'S MY MOM" They then sang Happy Birthday to him and she told him the cake was from me and He said "THANKS MOM, I LOVE YOU." That was the extent of the conversation but it certainly made my day just to wish him happy birthday. There are wonderful people in GA. I can't wait to meet them they take such good care of their missionaries in GA. The other two pictures are pics she emailed me later today after the party. I thank that wonderful family for letting me be a part of his birthday!!!!!!!!

Over Protective Daddy

Ok this is how Cody was greeted, shovel in one hand and gun in the other. Daddy was just protecting his baby girl. It is a good thing Cody know our family well.

Here they are after Daddy left the room. I am sure they will have a great time they have been friends almost since the day they were born.

Christmas 2007 at the Fowlks

This was Christmas morning (on the left). We had a great time with Danette, Chad and Carly with us. Little Carly did not wake up until around 8:00 it was kinda nice to sleep in. But it was fun to see her with her presents. As you can see Daniel was sorta of with us as he calls it his Voodoo Doll. He also was present with us for Christmas Eve dinner.

We had a wonderful call from Daniel Christmas Day spent many hours on the phone with him once in the morning and once in the afternoon we all got to chat with him and hear of his amazing experiences. A ward member picked them up in the morning and they spent all day with them and they was able to use there phones to call their family's Thank you Richards family in Georgia.

Later that Day Des and her family arrived, in time for Daniels afternoon call we had the Smiths over it was great fun playing with all our new toys.
The other pictures on the right are pictures through out the day. The cute picture of Carly and Raylie looking out the window was so cute all the big kids where outside playing and they wanted to join them they were so cute looking out the window at them. Ellie and Carly had matching PJ's and Raylie and Carly earlier where dressed similar. Logan's build a monkey recieved matching spidarman clothes. All in all we had a great time with everyone one here and the opportunity to speak with Elder Fowlks.

Dear Santa

Happy Birthday Logan, I have wanted to make this Santa cake for many many years now but never had any of my children born in Dec. and I couldn't talk any of them into having a Santa cake in Jan. Feb. Mar. or June so Logan is the Lucky one. We now have two born in Dec. little Ellie belly and Logie bear so now I can make all the Santa cakes I want. Lucky Logan and Ellie.

Revised Christmas Tree

I didn't like the way the tree was before, so I decided to put ribbon around the tree and put bows on it. So I thought I would post the updated tree it won't help the shape of it. But I like the ribbon better. Only a few more weeks anyway then I can go get an artificial tree on sell. Then I won't have to worry about the lights and the fullness of the tree. Oh well it is just a tree. One of Gods many creations.

Cedar Mountain and the Fowlks Christmas Tree

A few weeks ago we went up Cedar Mt. with some friends here in Leeds and we set off looking for that perfect tree. The first time we drove to high and had to walk through 3 feet of snow to see anything (ok so we are not used to the snow) we could only cut down one of two types of trees, so that made it harder to find that perfect tree. So we drove down where the snow wasn't so deep and we get out of the truck and Sharise said "where is Dad" and we started walking up the hill a ways to try and find him and couldn't and then I heard it that chainsaw. I thought to myself it better be a good one. He did not get my approval first. Then I saw him dragging it down the hill. All in all it is not what I am used to but I guess you just can't find the full beautiful trees that I am used to but it will do. As you can see I ran out of tinsel I need to find more or take it off. I put 900 lights on the tree it is very well lite up.

We decieded that Daniel needed a Christmas tree for Christmas. With transfers coming up on Dec. 12th it would make it hard to have any kind of atifical tree so Ron thought of this idea. We made a paper tree (thank you Josh for you artistic ablility) and paper ornaments and then put all the family members pictures (garfield included) on each ornament and bought a little strand of plactic lights and on the top put Angel Moroni. If he gets transferred he can roll up his tree and take it with him. It was a fun family home evening project.
