Stingray buddy

Just received this today from the photographer. We found a little buddy, once I finally got used to them swimming around me.

Florida and Cruise 2008

Sit back and relax lots of pic to come. This is the beginning of our wonderful cruise. We had a layover in Atlanta GA. Yes we were just 41 miles away from Daniel. It is a good thing we only had a nour layover, or I may have gone for a drive:0 We then flew to Tampa, Fl for our neice's wedding. She was married on Clearwater Beach. It was just a little chilly that day it was the end of a storm system that went through FL earlier that week, but we managed. The wedding was nice. We then spent a few days in Tampa.

Tampa Florida

We went to the Tampa Aquarium it was a big place with many different types of underwater creatures. The next three pic are on Clearwater Beach were the wedding took place. The next two are at Busch Gardens Theme Park. They had the best roller coaster there that I have ever been on. It was great. The first drop you come to is a 90 degree drop, as you are dropping you hit 4 g's it was awesome. The first time we (Ron, Grandpa Fowlks and myself) rode it we were in the back it was so fun we had to ride it again when Mike (brother-in-law) got there, this time we sat in the front. Very exhilarating ride.

Turtle Farm, Hell and Stingray sandbar in Grand Caymans

This was our first excursion, first stop Grand Caymans. We first went to the turtle farm and you can see us holding about a 6 month old turtle it was very interesting many many turtles there. Next stop was Hell you can see the two pic of the black rock looking stuff they said when the first settlers came upon this place they named it that because they figured that is what Hell will look like. There is a post office and a store to buy post cards so you can send a post card post marked from Hell. Then our last stop on that excursion was the stingray sandbar. The water was waste deep (well for most people it was more like shoulder deep to me Oh well) We got out with the stingrays and they would swim around your feet we have pics of us holding them but those pics are on the water proof camara. Will post when developed.

Cozamel (Ruins at Tulum)

Here we went to the Ruins at Tulum, it was a 7 hour excursion, and talk about humid it was a pretty hot day. But when we reached the ruins at the top there was a nice breeze and it helped. There was a beautiful beach down below the ruins. We found a little friend that I am sure he was smiling at us. But I wasn't going to stick around and see so we took a pic of him and I started to walk away and he started following me so I quickened my pace.

Belize

Here we went Cave tubing and most of our pics are on that other camera, so I will post them at a later date, but it was fun riding on tubes in a river and floating through a long cave.

Roatan, Honduras

In Roatan we went to Gumbalima Park and went on a huge zipline. It had 13 different lines to get us down the hill, it was awesome. After the zipline we walk through some gardens and then to the place were they had the Parrots and Monkey's, it was beautiful there. Very humid but we did go up about as high as you can get there so it wasn't to bad.
