Spring Break Trip

This was the starting of a great trip but very long ride. We enjoyed the scenery along the way. We stopped for some photo op's along the way and for some much needed stretching.

This was just out side of Gallup NM. It was not fun to drive through at all. Seemed like it snowed forever. It was nice to get out of the snow storm. We spent the night in Albuquerque NM the first night. We got up and then off to San Antonio TX. Where it was raining for Fri and Sat but Sun. started clearing. Thank goodness I was ready for some good weather.

Saturday we went to the River Walk and the Alamo it was really crowed in San Antonio because of Spring Break and they always have a St. Patricks day Celebration that week so yeah it was packed where ever we went but we had fun. Also on Sunday we went to Church and then drove around the Temple there it had started clearing up on Sunday, I was in much need of the Sun so I was grateful for that. This was Mon we went to Sea World, it was fun but again because of Spring Break it was packed. So it made it hard for Carly to go on any rides because the wait was way to long. I felt bad for that but she was able to see a Sesame Street play there so that was fun.
We had a good time there and the weather was great lots of sun and I was lovin that. We thank Chad's Uncle Ron for the use of his house.

On Tues on our way to Houston we stopped at the Natural Bridge Caverns, the four of us went in and Danette and Chad took their kids to the park near by because in the cave you are not suppose to touch anything and they were a little worried about Carly wanting to touch things so they played at the park. Then off to Houston we went.



This was the last day in Houston we had fun just spending time with Danette and her family. Thanks to Chad and Danette for the use of their home. It was a fun trip and we had a great time. Then is was a very long ride home. We drove for 15 hours on Fri. and then 8 hours on Sat.

Texas here we come!!!!!!

This year for Spring Break we are going to take a road trip. It is Sharise's senior trip as well, have to go where the money will go in this great Economy. :) But we are going to have fun. We are driving to San Antonio and meeting Chad and Danette there, Chads Uncle has been gracious enough to let us stay at his house. We thank him greatly for this. We will be there for a few days doing fun things there ( Alamo, Riverwalk, Sea World, Caves) and then Tues. we will drive to Houston/Spring to Danette and Chads and do a few things there. Ron's brother Roger moved to Humble Tx which is only 20 mins from Danette's house so we will meet up with his family. Hoping to find some different things to do around Danettes house. Then Friday early morning we'll head for home hoping to stop in Fredricksburg, then Saturday evening we should be home. Next post will be pictures of our fun road trip.

Happy Birthday Desirae

Here are a couple pictures of Desirae, about the only two I have of her when she is little. I think that she took most of them with here when she left home she was big into scapbooking and so they were all in her books. But I did manage to find a few pictures. I love the one of her with her friends Zip and Zippy she carted those two little guys all over the place with her. She would set them on the couch and make them listen to her sing or any performance that she could come up with. They would be there watching her. I hope you have a great day and that your family treats you good on your special day. Thank you for being you, you are such a great example to your siblings and your parents. We love you.

A Flock of Birds

Ok I was driving down the freeway on my way home from the gym minding my own business and this is what happens when a flock of birds fly into your vehicle. Out of nowhere came a flock of huge birds not sure of the brand of bird but to big for my comfort. This is the top of my windshield and the thud was a horrible sound. I screamed it scared my so bad. I also have a headache from it. Scared me!!!!!!!! It went up and hit my luggage rack and I have nice white streaks all on the top as well. I am hoping that it didn't break the seal on the windshield or when I wash my van I will get a two for one and have the inside washed as well. I wondered after hearing about that plane going down after a flock of birds flew into the engine why they just
didn't move out of the way. But I really didn't want to know that bad, so watch out for what you are wondering about. ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANETTE

This should have been posted this morning but this is the first time all day that I have been able to sit down and post this Happy Birthday Wish to Danette. This picture is my favorite of you as a little girl. I just want you to know how much I love and miss having you near us. I am so grateful for your peaceful attitude. I hope that you have a great time tomorrow night and that you have had a good birthday even though you told me it was just another day. I can't wait to see you next month. We love you, Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

TWENTY FIVE RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME

1. When I was 2 years old on a family vacation with family I chased a bear saying here doggie doggie.

2. When I was around three my sister was giving me a ride on my brother brand new bike he got for his birthday and my foot got caught in the spokes of the back tire made a mess of his tire and my ankle, a burn and broke it.

3. When I was3 1/2 I was with that same sister and we were walking to my moms work and stopped for a break at the school and we were going down the slide and I feel off the top and broke my leg. In the hospital for my 4th birthday

4. K workin up my body in second grade a boy tripped me when rollerskating and I broke my right arm.

5. I am the youngest of 4 children two brothers and a sister.

6. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sun and right now wish it would start shinning!!!!!!

7. I think I could live in Hawaii very easily.

8. I play racquetball two or three times a week I would love to play everyday.

9. I like oil painting

10. I love being with my family

11. I love my grandkids

12. I could go on a cruise once a month if I were only rich!!

13. I have been to Europe

14. I have traveled to Tahiti

15. Been to HI a few times.

16. Waiting for the Return of our Elder

17. Then I would like to go see his mission area

18. Enjoy going to SLC and TX to see my daughters and there family's

19. I have been going through that menopause thing WAY TO LONG!!!!!!!!

20. I will miss watching Sharise play soccer next year, why? she will be out of school, my baby :(

23. If I have something on my mind I have a really hard time concentrating on anything else.
