Fun weekend with our Salt Lakians
We had a great weekend with Desirae and her kids they came for the weekend. We went to see Shrek with the kids on Fri afternoon and then we celebrated Lucas 1st birthday. (pic of that to come) Saturday we went to the park and to Dan's clubhouse pool. We had a great time with them. We always enjoy the times when family comes to visit. (not sure if Josh is having such a great time with Dan on his back and being duncked by his uncle. :) ) We love the sun and glad to share is with the Ogden family they where tired of the SLC weather. Love you guys.

the big clean-up
My header picture is a picture of Dad's greenhouse when it was in full bloom. It was so sad to walk into his greenhouse and see it like this picture. This is what was left after he got sick and the heat took over. This past week-end we went to SLC to clean the greenhouse out. I have to admit it was a bitter sweet moment. Bitter because the plants were all dead and the touch of dads green thumb was no longer there and because I miss him, the sweet because of the memories that are in there and the things that we found. Wondering why he had a bucket full of skeleton keys. (two to a pkg.) Finding many different tools and wondering what he did with them. Wondering how he kept going up until a month before he past away.
Cleaning the GH out made me realize again how hard my dad worked. We also weeded and trimmed his big rose garden in the front yard. (no pictures of that) Brittany and I was talking and wondering how he did all that he did. I know my mom was right along side of him in the yard work, I was worn out by the time we finished for the day. And they kept this yard up year after year.
This next picture is of my dads chair that he worked from in the earlier years in the recent years he sat on his walker in this spot this is jacket that is still there.

We had many little hands helping, they all miss their Grandpa Holt, when they would arrive at the house they would know right where to find him. They would run out to see him in the GH.
Many more hands.
This was the finished product for the day. We filled a dumpster, (we needed a bigger one to hold it all) hopefully we can sell or give these flats and cans to someone who can use them. It was suppose to rain that day, it did all night it started clearing and the sun came out for the most part.

Thank you dad for passing on so many memories of your beautiful flowers, your beautiful yard. I am sorry that you had so much pain the last month of your life. I feel so blessed to be able to have spent the last month with you and talk with you and reminisce about our lives together as daddy and daughter. I can't believe that it has almost been a year. Thank you for marrying mom and giving me life. I love both.

Visit with Chad and Danette in Vegas
We drove to Vegas to meet Chad and Danette who flew in on Thurs. for a little get away with out children (which I was sad not to see) but it was good seeing them. It was fun spending time with them. They stayed at the Vadra which is in the City Center. We first went and had lunch at a little pizza place on the way to Ethel M Chocolate Factory. Lunch was good and we got to the Factory it was open but because of being Sat. no production was happening. But the best part was tasting the chocolate. They also had a garden of Cactus' outside the Factory (didn't get pic) all different kinds and they where just starting to bloom.
The 3 pic below are of the Atrium in the Belligio it smelled really good. The snail is made of roses and the ladybug of carnations.

The train above is made of fondant.

Ron patiently awaiting his crepe
Danette is in heaven with this giant Chocolate fountain.

This is the new bridge at Hoover Damn, not quite finished with it yet but it is pretty big.

This was us at the cute little pizza place that had sandwiches and pasta as well, it was very good food.
When I walked into Danette and Chad's room this is the first thing I spotted, well actually I seen it before we went to their room but had a clear picture out their window. I would really like to go see the Donny and Marie show sometime.

All in all we had a great time and can't wait to see the other two members of their family, hopefully this fall sometime.

Trip to Salt Lake City and A Happy Birthday to Ron
Here is the Baptism of our sweet little Emma, I cannot believe my second grandchild is 8 WOW!!!!!!! We love her, she has the sweetest little personality. She is a beautiful little girl. We love you Emma.
While in SLC, the girls had an ice show. I was very excited to watch them ice skate, they all did a great job and it was fun being there with family watching them. GREAT JOB GIRLS.
Last thing we did was to go visit Dad. The headstone will be in place in June so we will make another trip up there at that time, mom has picked out a great headstone for the two of them. I love you Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another fun trip up North although I did miss our warm weather here in St. George. It was a little chilly up there. I know I know my blood is as thin as water now. But that is what living here in Sunny St. George does for you. But I love the family there so I put up with their weather cuz I love to see them. :)

Some of my Spring Flowers
Just thought I would share my spring flowers with everyone. I mainly took a picture of them because we are suppose to get some windy days the next couple of days. This always happens, the flowers will come out then we get our lovely Leeds wind and it blows them to pieces. My roses have so many buds on them I hope it won't blow to hard, so I can enjoy them while they are out in full bloom. The other one is the tree in the front yard and the last one right in the middle is called a bleeding heart, they are in my planter box. I hope you enjoy them I have so far.NO WIND PLEASE is that asking to much living in Leeds?

Two Cheezers
Raylie came to play with grandma the other day and she wanted to get on the spider web (hammock) so we were laying there swinging alittle, and all of a sudden she said "what is that" I said it was just a rain drop and immediatly she wanted off and to go into the house. She does not like water of any sort on her face so we went inside to play. I hope Brittany got a little bit of a break.

Crazy Cat!!!!!
So I was on the couch today settling in for a nice nap after church. It is always very quiet after church (well everyday)I had turned on some nice music and was ready for a nice nap. Garfield decides to join me he jumped on the arm of the couch and crawled up on my shoulder and nuzzled his head against my cheek, my phone was right there so I though I would get a pic. well then he...........
decided he would give me a little kiss before retiring for his nap. Then.......
He thought he might get more comfy and move to the other side and that is where he finally settled. It was kinda fun just letting him decide where he wanted to be and I took a few pic along the way, but.....there was no way I was going to get any sleep with him on my face. So I had to move him he was a little put out by the fact that I would not allow him to sleep where he wanted, but he then curled up next to me on the couch and we both got a nice little nap, coarse he is still sleeping but for me I needed to get up and fix dinner.
