My Daddy, I love you Dad

Frank Holt

Frank Holt 1927 ~ 2009 Frank Holt, 81 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born to Robert and Leone Holt on November 4, 1927 in Sandy, Utah. Frank was an all state football player for the Jordan High Beetdiggers 1944-1946, He married his high school sweetheart June 2, 1947. While raising his family he worked as a cement contractor for the company that built the U of U nursing college building and U of U behavioral science building, many schools, shopping centers and miles of curb and gutter through out the Salt Lake valley. He and his wife ran Franks Garden Center and Floral. Later he had a greenhouse in his back yard, supplying many friends and family with beautiful flowers. He also grew and maintained a vegetable garden until the time of his death. Frank loved boating, fishing and hunting with family and friends. His children have many fond memories of summer vacations to Petaluma California, to visit his sister Nina and her family. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis, four children; Brian (Melinda) Holt, Boston, MA, Kathy (Bill) Patterson, Sandy, UT, Kim (Tina) Holt, CA, Pauline (Ron) Fowlks, St. George. 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; and sister Marion Smart. Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters. His family would like to thank Dr. Vernon Liu for all of his friendship and kindness, and the many staff members at the Alta View Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday July 8, 2009 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy (10550 South) South Jordan, UT. Friends may visit Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
